What are the purpose and scope of this Statement
Omya is committed to safeguarding the personal data that Omya collects from individuals who visit the Omya Website. What personal data does Omya collect from you and for what purpose?
When you visit the Omya Website, the Omya web server automatically records your IP address, the website from which you visit the Omya Website, the type of browser software used, the Omya web pages you actually visit including the date and duration. In addition, Omya collects personal data which you provide through the Omya Website, for example when you enter personal details (e.g. name, gender, address, E-mail address, phone/fax number) on a registration page or if you sign up for an E-mail newsletter.
How does Omya use your personal data?
If Omya does collect personal data, it will be processed and stored securely, for no longer than it is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. Omya will do its best to comply with its obligations and safeguard your rights under the applicable privacy laws.
If you contact Omya and Omya obtains your personal data from your email, Omya may use them as follows:

- To keep you as a business contact in Omya’s database;

How and where does Omya store your personal data?
Omya only keeps your personal data for as long as needed to, in order to use it as described in this Statement, and/or for as long as Omya has your permission to keep it.
Your data will only be stored in all countries in which Omya operates worldwide. Within the Omya group an Intragroup Data Transfer Agreement has been concluded with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in order to ensure compliance with the applicable data protection laws when transferring personal data abroad.
Transfer of personal data to third parties
Your personal data can also be shared with third parties that are not part of Omya and who provide technical or organizational services on behalf of Omya and that Omya requires for the purposes mentioned above or to carry out general business activities, such as IT providers, audit firms, and other needed service providers. These service providers are contractually bound to process your personal data exclusively on Omya’s behalf and as instructed by Omya, and to guarantee that the appropriate technical or organizational security measures are in place to guarantee your personal data’s protection. These service providers are located in all countries worldwide in which Omya operates. If a service provider is located in a country that does not ensure a level of personal data protection comparable with that found in Switzerland, Omya will enter into contractual agreements with these providers to ensure compliance with Swiss data protection standards. In doing so, Omya uses the Standard Contractual Clauses.
This notwithstanding, Omya may disclose personal data for legal reasons; for example, to law enforcement agencies for the purpose of prosecuting and detecting illegal activities or to tax authorities.
Your rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights under the DPA and/or GDPR:

- The right of access to the personal data Omya holds about you (see section 5);
- The right to rectification if any personal data Omya holds about you is inaccurate or incomplete;

Omya AG (“Omya”) sends you business related information such as newsletters, invitations to events, training sessions and presentations or other marketing information. In this context, we would like to draw your attention to our Privacy Policy:
1. What Personal Data do we collect?
“Personal Data” is any information relating to you or that we as Omya (“Omya” or we) can other-wise link to you. The Personal Data we collect includes title, your name, postal address, e-mail address, phone and fax number, domicile, language.

We collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us, for example when (i) you communi-cate with us via e-mail or other channels, (ii) when you sign up for or ask us to send you news-letters or other (marketing) materials and (iii) when you sign up for an event.
